Frequently Asked Questions
Everything parents ask us about admissions, curriculum, fees, school life, and more.
Admissions
Are admissions open for 2026-27?
Yes! Admissions are currently open for all pre-primary programs (Play Group, Nursery, Junior KG, Senior KG, Day Care) and primary classes from 1st through 4th Standard. Seats are limited — please call +91 90962 22174 to schedule a visit.
What is the admission process?
Our admission process has 4 steps: (1) Schedule a campus visit, (2) Meet the Principal in person — every candidate must be introduced to the Principal, (3) Submit required documents along with the admission form, (4) Confirmation and fee payment. The entire process can typically be completed in one visit.
What documents are required for admission?
You will need: (1) Attested copy of the child's Birth Certificate, (2) Three passport-size photographs of the child, (3) Aadhar Card of the child, (4) Aadhar Card of a parent (serves as address proof), (5) Rent Agreement if you're residing in a rented property, (6) Ration Card or Residential Proof. For primary class admissions, the previous school's Transfer Certificate is also required.
What are the age requirements for each class?
Play Group: 1-3 years. Nursery: 3+ years. Junior KG: 4+ years. Senior KG: 5+ years. 1st Standard: 6+ years. 2nd Standard: 7+ years. 3rd Standard: 8+ years. 4th Standard: 9+ years. Day Care: 6 months to 4 years. Ages are calculated as of 31st December of the academic year.
Curriculum
What is the E-DAC Learning System?
E-DAC stands for Explorers, Discoverers, Creators, and Creator Plus — our innovative pre-primary learning methodology. It uses a thematic approach with skills-based activities, workbooks, and activity guides mapped to each developmental stage. This proprietary system ensures age-appropriate learning for every child.
Is the primary school CBSE-affiliated?
Our primary section (1st-4th Std) follows the CBSE curriculum framework, aligning with national-level educational standards. We use CBSE-recommended textbooks, assessment patterns, and teaching approaches.
Does VH School go up to 10th Standard?
Not yet. As of 2026-27, we operate up to 4th Standard. We are on a planned growth journey — adding one new standard each academic year. By 2032-33, we will be a full K-10 CBSE school. Your child can continue with us as we grow together.
What teaching methodology do you follow?
We use a Multiple Intelligence Approach combined with Inquiry-Based Teaching. For pre-primary, the E-DAC system guides our work. For primary, we follow CBSE's activity-based learning approach. Teaching Pyramid and PBIS (Positive Behaviour Intervention Supports) are used across all classes.
Fees & Payment
What are the fees?
Fees vary by program (Play Group through 4th Standard). Please contact us at +91 90962 22174 or fill the admissions enquiry form to get the current fee structure. We're happy to discuss fees during your campus visit.
Are there any scholarships or concessions?
We occasionally offer sibling discounts and early bird concessions. Please ask the principal during your visit for details on any current offers.
School Life
What are the school hours?
Our school operates Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pre-primary sessions are typically shorter (around 3-4 hours). Day Care has flexible timings to accommodate working parents.
Do you provide transportation?
Transportation arrangements can be discussed at the time of admission. Please enquire with the school office about currently available routes and options.
Do you provide meals?
For Day Care, we provide nutritious snacks and meals. For pre-primary and primary classes, children typically bring their own tiffin. We encourage healthy food choices and teach children about nutrition as part of the curriculum.
What extracurricular activities are offered?
We offer art and craft, music and dance, physical education, puppet theatre (monthly), nature programs, monthly assemblies, annual day celebrations, sports day, and cultural events including Republic Day and Independence Day. Parent Collaborative activities are open to all parents.
What is the student-teacher ratio?
We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio for personalized attention. Junior KG is capped at 25 children per class. This allows our experienced teachers to focus on each child's individual development.
Facilities
What facilities are available?
Our campus includes child-friendly classrooms, an indoor playground (visited daily by Jr KG and Sr KG), outdoor play area, art & craft corner, library/reading area, and secure premises. The campus is designed to be colorful and engaging for children.
Is the school safe?
Absolutely. Transparency and safety are core values at VH School. We have secure premises, trained staff, and maintain open communication with parents. We welcome children with or without disabilities and embrace diversity.
Parents
How do parents stay involved?
We have an active Parent Collaborative open to all parents, regular parent-teacher meetings, a read-at-home program, Desired Results Profile (progress tracking), and monthly updates through our social media channels. Parents are welcome to participate in events.
